Nothing to do with Web Design or CSS Tips, but the row raging on in Cork hurling is nearly as complicated! Here's an Article from the Irish Times on the Cork hurling crisis ...

Sometimes it is necessary to allow one of your hosted MySQL databases to be connected to from an external system. Some hosting services allow this without any extra configuration or change while others won't allow it at all, Blacknight.ie allow it (on their Unix Hosting) but you have to enable it from the control panel - and as usual there is little or no help documentation!

I am still evaluating my options for creating some custom order reports for Magento, during this search I came across this very handy Diagram of Magento's database structure:

This is a great help in getting properly to grips with how magento structures and stores its data, although it would help if I had an A1 plotter!!

If you work in the graphics field professionally, you have probably run into the problem where you request a logo from a client for a print job and later that day you get an email with an attached animated GIF for you to use on the company letterhead.

Saw this on the BBC Website and thought it was funny. Social media and/or Web 2.0 and all the interactivity modern websites and social media can give you are a great way to reach out and connect with your customer base, however it's important to use the technology sensibly, otherwise you could potentially shoot yourself in the foot like this example from a recent BBC article:
