Print Advertising v Website?

Marketing and advertising is an expensive business. Well, it used to be before the internet came along.

More companies then ever are realising that by investing in a good website they can reach a mass market which, in the medium to long terms, is much better value then advertising in print. As this article points out, an ad even in a local paper might set you back €1,800.00 for a one off add, which makes it very expensive to keep your company in the public spotlight.

So why not invest in a good website that if properly maintained will last you several years? Using Web 2.0 you can stay in even closer touch with your customers and they can easily follow your news through you Newsletter, RSS feeds, Twitter, Facebook, your blog or various other means.

Online advertising revenue is growing at a rate of 20% a year. By using a cost per click tool such as Google Ads you can tailor your advertising budget to suit your daily needs, you can spend as little as €1 a day if needs be to drive traffic to your website and therefore to your business.

I'll be adding more articles to this post over time, so do check in again!

Print Suffering?

I was talking to a marketing person last week and she said that print advertising was really suffering, I think it is viewed as being way to expensive in 'the current climate' (cliche alert!!) plus you kind of pay for an add that's a one-off.

Well this is it, put two Ads

Well this is it, put two Ads in your local paper or a magazine and you could invest in one top notch website .... then again we could say that wouldn't we!

I'm going to post more articles about this though as the tend seems to be very much towards the Web. A frightening amount of teenagers and even early twenties never buy a newspaper!
