Drupal - Remove Unwanted Page Tabs

Q: How do I remove unwanted page tabs in drupal 6?
A: Follow the instructions in this article - http://drupal.org/node/483324
Yet another post about trimming away unwanted stuff from drupal so that your website better matches your target web design! This time it's about removing unwanted page tabs. In my case I wanted to remove to tabs from the userplus module's screen - the 'assign user roles' and 'assign user groups' tabs. The client doesn't want them so they just have to go!

Q: How can I apply a theme to some blocks on my drupal website that is different to the default block theme?
A: One way to do this is to use the most excellent Block Theme module and provide your own custom blocktheme-theme_name.tpl.php template file.

Print Advertising v Website?
Submitted by Shane on Wed, 08/04/2009 - 09:59

Marketing and advertising is an expensive business. Well, it used to be before the internet came along.
More companies then ever are realising that by investing in a good website they can reach a mass market which, in the medium to long terms, is much better value then advertising in print. As this article points out, an ad even in a local paper might set you back €1,800.00 for a one off add, which makes it very expensive to keep your company in the public spotlight.

The End for Internet Explorer 6?
Submitted by Shane on Tue, 07/04/2009 - 22:10
As any web designer will testify - Internet Explorer 6 or IE6 - can be a very flaky piece of software, it just seems to render websites in it's own special way, totally differently to all the other web-browsers, requiring far more hacks to Style Sheets to get things working.
Well, it looks like a Web designer in Normay might have spelt the end of IE6! Going to his site using IE6 and you're advised to upgrade your browser and you're given links to all the other software you can use, well this has spread like wildfire across Norway and is now spreading further across the web!
